Jonathan Stein represented my family in the sale and purchase of two townhouses in New York City in 2021. During both negotiations, he paired his immense knowledge of the NYC real estate market with his impressive work ethic to ensure that our interests were thoroughly represented. Jonathan's real estate prowess allowed us to set a market record for price per square foot in our neighborhood. Our property was unique in that it was a new build on a street with landmarked buildings. Furthermore, we had worked extensively with an interior decorator to upgrade and personalize the house beyond the neighborhood's standard homes. Our home had the potential to sit on the market for a while due to its higher price point for the neighborhood. Jonathan worked relentlessly to sell our home. He hired an expert floor planner and fantastic photographer to quantify the sale price. Due to his expert effort in marketing our home and skillful pricing, Jonathan brought us an offer within 6 weeks during the Christmas holidays and we started the New Year on a fantastic foot!
Jonathan is not only superb at marketing and finding a seller, but he is also a great negotiator. The sale of our home was fairly straightforward, and Jonathan made such an impression during the showing that he represented the buyers on the sale. He skillfully helped both parties come to an agreement on minor repairs to our home, as well as personal property that we sold to the new homeowners. His negotiating prowess really came through though during the purchase of our new home. During a four - week negotiation, in which both parties nearly walked, Jonathan was the cool head in the room. When the seller of our new home wouldn't budge on a NYC Department of Buildings issue and my family could not sign the contract in good conscience without a huge liability of potentially losing our deposit, Jonathan calmed many hot personalities and was able to get both sides to agree to a reasonable middle ground. When the lawyers were unable to find a middle ground, Jonathan was able to bring a business deal together. Jonathan is the sole reason our deal was held together and we are living in a home that I coveted for six months.

Jonathan was introduced to my wife and me through a mutual friend several years ago. He has since sold our Park Avenue co-op and helped us purchase a beautiful penthouse in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Jonathan is a delight to be around, which is a nice attribute, but when coupled with his work ethic, integrity, positivity, experience, and winning attitude, it is a potent cocktail for success. Jonathan also represented us on our purchase as well. One thing that stood out was his reputation in the brokerage community. He was able to get us the first look at the penthouse we ended up purchasing because of prior experience in working with members of the sales team on other deals. We were the first to tour the building and get in on the ground level, after which the sponsor decided to raise prices in the building. He worked relentlessly to get the deal done for us at the most favorable structure possible, which still maintains a pleasant and amicable relationship with the developer's representatives. This is where being polite and having a great attitude pays dividends. He is a people person, and it goes a long way.
Jonathan is the best at his craft and we feel very lucky to be able to work with him as he saved us many hundreds of thousands of dollars.
